✦ JANUX

Janux rises from the original Goa scene from the early 1980’s, where he was part of the early roots of the Psytrance family. He finally started DJing in 1998, and is signed with Looney Moon Records since 2014. (and previously with Third Eye Records & Mechanik Records)

Janux ::the name comes from ‘Janus’, a mythical Roman god who has two faces: one dark, one light – one looking into the past, one looking into the future.

Janux is a night & twilight specialist, and a powerful Dj who can read any situation and play the perfect vibe for that space & time. Janux’s style ranges from high energy trippy night music, to magical twilight, to strong & psychedelic morning sounds. His high energy performances packed full with killer mixing, sorcery, and dance power, transform the party into a powerful entity.

His roots in music started in the mid 80’s in Goa where he was a kid experiencing the early roots of the trance scene, and being in Goa every season for most of his life, and has also lived in Denmark, USA, London, Amsterdam, Bombay, and Goa. He has been DJing since 1998, and has played at parties and festivals all over the world including BOOM FESTIVAL 2016, OZORA 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, MODEM 2016, ANTARIS 2015 & 2016, FREE EARTH 2019, HADRA 2014, UNIVERSAL RELIGION 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, TREE OF LIFE, HILLTOP FESTIVAL 2014, 2015, JUNGLE CALLING FESTIVAL @ Origens.
His Dj journey has put him behind the decks in NYC (where he started the Dj collective & party org. called “Sound Species”), Portugal, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Italy, Germany, Hungary, France, Oslo, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Nepal, Thailand, Goa, and many other places in India (Bombay, Bangalore, Delhi, Calcutta, Madras, Pune, Nasik)

Janux hosted all the big psytrance parties that happen in Bombay, where he was the head of music programming at the legendary Blue Frog, the only club in India that did regular Psy nights with domestic & international artists. (and also various other electronic genres, and live bands across multiple genres as well)

Janux has also opened Goa’s first professional music production & recording studio.

✦ HASHASHIN

Hashashin is the groovy twilight psytrance project of Belgium based musician Quentin Van Houtte. His musical journey started in the early 90’s as a drummer playing metal beats in the basement with his elder brother on guitars. In 2004, he got violently hit by electronic music and eventually built a home studio to focus all his energy on music production.

Since his first appearance behind the decks in 2009, this rastaman has been shaking his dreads for his audience in unimaginable dancefloors from a deep tropical jungle to a fancy castle including a WW2 bunker. Hashashin live sets at monstrous festivals such as Modem, Hadra, SUN, Human Evolution, Wao, Space Safari, Lost Theory, among others were epic. His improvisation skills allow him to adapt to the vibe of every dancefloor.
